The Institute’s Initiative on Education works to develop the field of paint & coating/petrochemical/cheminformatics/Healthcare Management/Nutrition & Dietetics education for educators. It fosters the field’s growth and evolution by introducing new methods to educators. These methods help improve student academic performance, and create healthy environments conducive to students becoming responsible, productive & caring.
A 2002 independent assessment found that ICIS has made “significant” progress in building the professional field of paint & coating/petrochemical/cheminformatics education, gaining recognition and impacting the personal and professional lives of educators.

The growth of ICIS can help keep students learning and help for their bright career. Our activity strengthens skills such self-regulation, awareness, resilience, flexibility, insight, empathy, intuition and morality. Building these skills enhances a broad range of educational outcomes, from academic achievement to social and emotional learning.
